Man, it’s been so long I’ve almost forgotten how to use this thing. Call me old fashioned, but I still love a good blog post. As the vast majority of ‘photographers’ now use Instagram or Youtube to get their content out, I’m still a fan of the old school blog. Ironic, since most of you reading this are on your phone. Oh, well.
Anyway, there hasn’t been much to share lately. The whole year seemed to be canceled. I’ve been working on a couple of long term personal projects, but I’m not sharing those just yet. I did sign a lease on an amazing studio in New Orleans, but more on that later.
I did have one project this year that I really loved - the Bayou Tree Calendar. Think of it as the Pirelli Calendar, but for trees. This is my 5th time shooting the calendar, and as we were coming up with this year’s theme, I suggested that we shoot from above…high above. Thankfully they like the idea, and I think it’s my favorite calendar yet. Everything just looks so good from above.
